Step 2: Steaming – drying – shelling
Cashews are steamed with hot vapor, then dried and shelled by machine or hand to remove the hard outer shell.
Step 3: Removing the inner skin (testa)
Use peeling machines or manual peeling to preserve the cashew's bright white color.
Step 4: Sorting and collecting LWP
Cashew pieces are screened and sorted by size. LWP refers to the large, white, export-standard pieces.
Step 5: Quality inspection & packaging
LWP cashews are inspected for moisture content, color, pests, and impurities. They are then packed in vacuum-sealed bags or large PE bags to maintain freshness during transportation.
